Delete your account and data

This page belongs to the app Zoo Star (nl.zoostar.app). It explains how to have your account and all data belonging to it deleted. You do not need the app to do this.

How to request it

Send an e-mail to stefanloenen@gmail.com with the subject delete account, and say which player you are: your in-game username, or the name of your zoo. You will be told once it is done. We do this within thirty days, usually much sooner.

What is deleted

Your account: the code Apple uses to recognise you, your username and the name held with your account.
Your zoo: the complete saved game with your animals, buildings, money, kilometres and milestones.
Everything you did with other players: marketplace listings, auctions, mail and recorded messages, your friends list, your expedition teams and their messages, your in-game diary, and your place in the leaderboards and hall of fame.
Your push token, so you no longer receive notifications.

This is permanent: your zoo cannot be recovered afterwards, not even if you reinstall later.

What stays, and why

If another player ever reported you, that report stays, but without your name or account attached. Otherwise a deletion request would be a way to erase such a report.
A sale that already took place stays in the buyer's records — they have the animal — but without your name.

Just starting over

If you want to keep your account but continue with an empty zoo, you do not need this page: you can do that in the app under Settings, with Start over.
